MY WORK

Infographics are a fun and engaging way to share information, visualizing and summarizing data effectively. For this project, I focused on one of the most memorable and iconic moments in Olympic sports, ensuring that each element supported the central theme by showcasing the 1980 Lake Placid Olympic Hockey Game held between the USA and Soviet Union. The creation process highlighted my research skills, data analysis, design capabilities, storytelling, and attention to detail. The resulting infographic significantly increased reader engagement, knowledge transfer, and shareability. Within the first week, the infographic was shared over 200 times on my social stories, demonstrating its impact and effectiveness. Nike’s “Am I a Bad Person?” campaign aimed to challenge societal norms and spark conversations around self-perception. Tasked with explaining how the ad campaign supported brand loyalty through an emotional connection to diverse audiences, I conducted market research and aimed to develop a compelling narrative surrounding the iconic and controversial ad. I showcased skills in research, creative writing, and strategic planning to create this piece. Nike’s campaign sparked over 50,000 social media mentions in the first month and increased positive brand perception by 25%. Additionally, Nike experienced a 15% boost in sales of featured products during the campaign period. Click HERE to read my review of the campaign.

During my tenure as a Sports Communications Intern for Oakland University, I wrote and published social posts that included rosters, biographies, live stats, and team images. The primary goals were to enhance the visibility of the university’s sports teams, engage the community, and provide timely updates. This experience showcased my writing, communication, research, attention to detail, and social media management skills. The project increased social media engagement by 30% and achieved an 18% rise in followers across all platforms. Moreover, it significantly enhanced community involvement and fan interaction. You can click on OU’s men’s baseball or women’s softball websites or their social site to see some of my input.

Tasked with creating a hypothetical campaign proposal for a product I
feel can revolutionize the hockey industry, I created a campaign that aims to introduce and promote an innovative hockey stick that promises unparalleled durability and performance. As the project lead, I conducted extensive market research, developed compelling objectives, and created strategic plans and tactics for the campaign’s rollout. This work sample highlights my skills in research, creative direction, strategic planning, project management, communication, and design. If the campaign is successful, it would underscore the potential of an indestructible hockey stick and revolutionize the hockey industry. Click HERE to read my introductory proposal.

As a communicator, I wrote and recorded three 30-second commercials for various sports-related entities to engage viewers, evoke emotions, and create a powerful connection. My responsibilities included conducting market research, developing scripts, directing recording sessions, and collaborating with designers and editors. The work showcased my skills in research, creative writing, project management, communication, audio production, and design collaboration. Should they ever go public, the goal would be to increase website traffic, social media mentions, and product sales highlighting each companies wide reach and impact.
